The end of summer is just around the corner, but the weather is still nice. I hope it stays like that for a while. We've had an unusually hot and humid summer here on Prince Edward Island this year. It's the hottest one since we moved here five years ago. The weather was great for spending time at the beach, but not so great for our vegetable garden.

Our Trip to Hope for Wildlife
This summer we visited the Hope for Wildlife animal rescue and rehabilitation centre in Nova Scotia. Many of you might know about it from the "Hope for Wildlife" show. That's how we found out about the centre, and since it's only 3 hours away from our home, we decided to visit the place.

The Eastern Chipmunk
It's still rather cold on Prince Edward Island, but the Eastern chipmunks in our backyard don't seem to mind. They are busy running around and grabbing the seeds from under the feeders.
